Speaker:I am amazed sometimes at the perception that our babies or
Speaker:our children are only requiring the tasks of their parents,
Speaker:right? That I feed and I clothe and I bathe and I present my
Speaker:children and I get them to school and I do those things
Speaker:when those things are absolutely important for the growth and
Speaker:development of a person but the interpersonal communication, and
Speaker:establishing that when your child is an infant, and then
Speaker:allowing it to be fostered and grown as the child gets older
Speaker:and becomes communicative with you. That that's actually the
Speaker:place of real gold in parenting. Because it will not matter when
Speaker:they're 18 whether you were slick at changing dirty diapers.
